The Brayford Quay development on the waterfront at Lincoln provides privately-run accommodation for 450 students and includes three Henley-built accommodation blocks surrounded by shops and bars.

The three buildings at Brayford Quay were constructed in just 32 weeks and the accuracy of the components meant that no time was wasted making onsite adjustments and all wall linings and built-in furniture fitted first time with no modifications. The accuracy of the construction also paid dividends on the exterior of the building. As the walls are perfectly flat and parallel, there was no need to use packing pieces on the external cladding – and hence no extra cost claims from the cladding contractors.

The students like it too. As Rachel Crane, Assistant Manager of the student accommodation at Brayford Quays says. “It is a very popular choice with the students, and a very pleasant place to live and work.”
